Hell N Back Rocks the Opera House

The Opera House had vibrations comin' up from the floor Saturday for their night of tribute bands, that included Rock and Roll Over (Kiss), Keep the Faith (Bon Jovi) and Hell N Back, one of Canada's newest and hardest working AC/DC tributes touring the circuit.

Hell N Back  have accomplished a great deal in the relatively short time that they have been together. They have spent the last year growing as a band and perfecting their stage presence all while successfully delivering the high voltage rock and roll that AC/DC are known for.

Despite being limited to strict time restraints and a scaled down setlist, the band, James (vocals), Kyle (lead guitar), Jeff (rhythm guitar/backing vocals), Marty (bass/backing vocals) and Garry (drums), made sure not to allow that to influence their playing.  They took to the stage with the confidence that they always have with one goal, to give their best performance for their audience.
The Opera House already had quite an impressive filled dance floor when the guys took the stage at exactly 9:15. As the sound of the ominous bell rang through the venue, red lights flooded the stage and 'Hells Bells' kicked off the night, much to the delight of the crowd who were there to have an amazing night of rock and roll.

Having to adhere to the time slot they were given may have been intimidating, but the selection of songs progressed nicely, which kept the crowd dancing and the excitement in the building rising.

The essential hits, including, 'Highway To Hell', 'Thunderstruck', 'You Shook Me All Night Long', 'Back in Black', to name a few, were included and the feedback throughout the venue validated that the AC/DC fans were quite pleased by the song choices.

Rounding off the twelve song setlist were hidden gems 'Rock 'n' Roll Damnation', 'Walk All Over You', and a personal favorite 'Night Prowler'.

As their time came to an end, no AC/DC show, tribute or official, is complete without the fan favorite 'For Those About To Rock', complete with the sound effects of exploding cannons. They literally ended their performance with a bang and proved why they're one of the best AC/DC tributes currently out there.

Even though it was a short set for a Hell N Back show, that didn't stop them from giving it their all. Everyone was entertained and it was proof positive that they have what it takes to play such establishments like The Opera House.

It was a great evening of amazing music and throughout their set, I had the pleasure of hearing people say how great they thought Hell N Back were. The band gained many new fans and the word on the street is that everyone needs to check these guys out when they play next. There's no denying that these five men enjoy what they do and it's apparent that as they continue to perform, they will only get tighter and hone their craft.
I've had the honor of knowing them over the past year and I couldn't be more proud of them. They work hard and play even harder. They definitely deserve all the success that is coming to them.

You can follow Hell N Back on Facebook and their Official Website for upcoming appearances.
